"...but I hope I've given readers characters that are three-dimensional that you can root for, situations that are funny, or exciting, or dangerous, and used words that are thought-provoking. My goal in 1997 when I first started to write is the same now in 2007--to entertain from the moment in time that you first pick up my book until you get to the last word. Simple. I'm not here to save the world, but just to give ya a little spice, a little drama, and a little excitement in your day..." Katherine, 4 Apr '07
The first book, Love Worth Fighting For, if you remember had the backdrop of the Chilean Cartel. Worth the Wait involved the Russian Mafia. Undercover Lover was about the Wilkens boys and home invasions. And Beatrice and Michael' s story involves the Jamaican Posses.
I know that I have chosen an unusual way to write romance novels, but I've sought to combine my two passions: love and intrigue.
Check my website weekly to see what's new. My next release will be in the Cuffed by Candlelight Anthology with Beverly Jenkins and Gwyneth Bolton, due to hit shelves just in time for Valentine's Day.
It's finally here, my next release! DANGEROUS DILEMMAS, will officially hit the shelves on March 15, 2007, but you can preorder your copy NOW!
This story is set in beautiful Hilton Head, SC and is about Kayla Williams and Cole Lewis. Kayla is a busy restaurant owner and Cole a magazine owner. They've declared their love for each, but will they make it out alive? Join Kayla and Cole on this exciting and hot adventure!

Why not 100,000?2:42 PM PDT, May 7, 2007 I read a blog by another author and she made the statement about the numbers of books we sell. The comment was made in reference to royalties and while it was a comment right on target, it got me to thinking. How come selling 100,000 books seems unachievable? No, I haven't been smokin' anything, but seriously. We shouldn't shortchange ourselves or believe that our work is any less captivating or noteworthy as that of others. The US population is estimated at 300,000,000 people and I can't sell a lousy 100,000 books? Why not? I guess I'm just foolish, but if folks can sell 500,000 CDs or if Spiderman 3 can make $150 million in three days...hmmm...I think I can sell 100,000 books! Okay, so that's my new goal:-) So folks that means, order doubles and triples of books. Buy books for friends--don't read them and pass them on, stop trading books and start actually buying your books. If you don't like a book, then donate the copy to your library. When you like a book tell a friend...nope tell lots of friends! Don't make a book your best kept secret. (Please) Also, never underestimate the value of giving a multiple book gift basket. Personally, I love receiving books, art work, and music! And I'm sure I'm not the only one. I suppose what it boils down to is as authors we have to believe in our product. I know not everyone is going to like my books and I'm cool with that, but I also know that I am not reaching everyone who would enjoy. So my new mantra is, why not 100K.? What do you think?
